Subject: Demand for an immediate release of Emad Al sadig Ismail Humdoun
On the ground of the current Sudanese National Dialogue and after the claim of the Sudanese president that there are no political prisoners in detention and that all the Sudanese prisons are empty of prisoners.
Our son Emad Al sadig Ismail Humdoun is still under detention by National Intelligence and Security Services after he has been kidnapped from in front of the National Umma Party headquarters on 14th December 2015. Emad spent around 21st days in detentions and NISS refused to allow his lawyers to meet him and to understand why he has been arrested and to listen to his case if any!!!.
Every day that passes and Emad in detention increases our concern and fear on his condition, its well known the history of NISS and its members in the harsh treatment and torturers and violence against detainees, the family repeatedly asked to visit him was rejected under the pretext of non-completion of investigations and the most recent of which was at the request of his mother that NISS refused to respond to their request yet..
We call upon the competent authorities to allow us to visit our son Emad and check on his health or release him immediately or send him to free and fair trial.
We also call on all activists, human rights organizations, competent authorities and the foreign missions to put more pressure in order to find out any news about mad and work actively until his release is granted. ..
