*Declaration*
We in NMSA, would like to give a revolutionary salute to the multitudes of the Sudanese people with eternal revolutionary greetings on the seventh anniversary of the outbreak of the second genocidal war in the Nuba Mountains region. That deadly scuffle, which the National Congress Islamic regime instigated on the 6th of June 2011 after it was defeated and failed to win the state elections in South Kordofan, authorised and carried out organised campaigns through which it manipulated the will of the electorate population by forging those elections. Then, the National Conference military regime and popular armed militias in the region engaged in unlawful systematic killings in cold blood. The whole world witnessed at that time, through the satellite of the US film star and the co-founder of the ‘Enough Project’ George Clooney, the mass graves of thousands of victims of the innocent people who have fallen victim to the insane bloody war.

We remind you of this day, despite the fact that thousands of people in the Nuba Mountains continue to desert their homes and villages. These victims flee to the caves and valleys to protect themselves from incessant regimes’ bombardments of the Antinov and heavy artillery. This is while living in a tragic situation, where basic lifesaving needs such as food, medicine and security are lacking and where children, women and the elderly die from spreading diseases due to a lack of health care. This came as a result of their unrelenting besiege and prevention from food and medicine by the regime and its militias.

In solidarity with the victims of the bloody war in Nuba Mountains, we in NMSA in the United Kingdom and Ireland, declare our full support and stand together with our people and victims of this cruel war waged against them. We call on the International Community to urgently intervene to try to permanently stop this war, and to deliver urgent relief support to those trapped in the war zone. We also call for thorough investigations of all perpetrators of war crimes in the region. They must be held accountable in court to prevent any recurrence of such genocidal crimes in the future.
We will work together with local, regional and international legal organisations to defend the victims of genocide in the Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile, Darfur and all regions of the Sudan until justice and lasting peace are achieved.
