My name is Hamid ELdood Mahdi, associate professor, Alneelain University, Sudan. I am from South Kordofan State which is considered as one of the war affected areas. Most of my people have been displaced for many years just because of their stance. Many have fallen victims to the brutality practised by the current regime.
What I have mentioned is very little to cover what is supposed to be said about the plight. My personal story with this merciless regime has started since I was a university student fighting for the rights and privileges of the marginalized people from the whole Sudan and in particular those who suffer from the war orchestrated by the NCP.
According to my continuous resistence against the aggressive attitude of the so called Khartoum regime, I have always been harrassed and arrested  by the NCP militia who nicknamed themselves "The National Sudanese Security and Intelligence".

I would like to inform you that I have encountered several arrest experiences and harrassment by the NCP militia during my academic career. Worth mentioning that on the 9th of March 2011 there happened a horrifying attack by the militia causing several kinds of terror to the professors and lecturers. A letter of complaint was addressed to Vice Chancellor then but in vain due to the full free  authority given to this militia. As a result, I was arressted and banned from travelling abroad then my release was issued on 2nd of May 2011 after writing a request of travel to participate in an interenational conference in Albania. Again, I got arrested on the 28th of October at a university professors meeting for supporting the uprising of September 2013.
During the course of my arrest, I experienced different forms of torture in the “ghost houses”, where anti regime politicians and activists are sardined and deformed physically, psychologically and morally. This can be seen in my scars caused by beating and burning.
My recent encounter which is considered as last straw with this militia took place in the university campus on Feb 18, 2016. While I was leaving the university, I swerved to take my stuff which I left behind. I was stopped by the militia creating deliberately an arguement to heat up “Much Ado about Nothing”. Suddenly I was brutely beaten, scorned and threatened to assassination. Meanwhile, there was a bunch of mob shouting ” Allahu Akhbar” repeatedly and loudly which means a call for a mass attack. The militia are seriously targeting me and my family. Now, I have stopped going to the university and my kids too for the fear of being assassinated.
I am staying at home under the protection of some relatives , because they put it frankly that they will behead me. I have to take it seriously because this is their habit…kill and throw!!!
lastly, I appeal to all vivid concience to look at it on compassionate ground.
