The European Union regrets the unwarranted violence against peaceful protestors in Khartoum last night,

resulting in two fatal casualties and tens of injured people.

The European Union calls on the transitional authorities to fully investigate these events.

Peaceful demonstrations are part of a democratic society, to which Sudan aspires after the peaceful popular revolution of 2019.

No loss of life is justifiable.
