🔴Sudan Liberation Movement welcomes the visit of ICC delegation to Sudan and calls for accelerating the handover of the culprits to the court

●The Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army chaired by Abdul Wahid Mohammed Ahmed Al Nour welcomes the visit of International Criminal Court ( ICC) delegation to Sudan, and further urges the partners of the newly formed Transitional Government to duly sign and activate the terms of the modalities of cooperation between the government and the court, in order to give a lasting and sustainable peace in Sudan a chance.

●The visit came in a moment the country is at historic and critical junction and therefore; realizing justice and accountability through taking perpetrators of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity to Hague, gives hope to the victims who waited so long to see justice being done. Accordingly ; the movement urges Khartoum government to hand over all the indicted figures to the ICC without delay or preconditions, as achieving justice is a corner stone to a lasting peace and stability in Sudan.

●The issue of justice and accountability is uncompromisable or subject to any political deal whatsoever, because justice is the authentic right for the victims and nobody has a right to abdicate from it, “the victims are the one who paid dearly in terms of ethnic cleansing, kills, mass rape, forceful displacement, incineration and so forth”.

●Handing over all the culprits to justice, and fairly compensating the victims individually and collectively, disarmament of all the militias, expelling of the new – comers and restoration of the usurped lands and Hawakir to their rightful owners and further dismantling of al- Bashir regime despotic state institutions, is the sole way that will lead to the realization of a just, comprehensive, lasting and sustainable peace in Sudan and eventually achieve the real political transformation and equal citizenship rights state in Sudan.
