Urgent call and appeal
The Blue Nile State in Sudan is currently suffering of the spread of cases of death resulting from diarrhoea. The deaths toll rises to more than 30 cases reported in Damazin hospital for children aged one month to fifteen years. The internal medicine department in Damazin hospital has recorded more than 6 deaths, while children’s section in Roseires has recorded more than 45 deaths for children aged one month to 15 years and 18 death cases in the internal medical department. The statements about the nature of the disease and deaths outside the hospitals are in conflict.
Aware of the deteriorating health situation in the Blue Nile State .We urge the World Health Organization to intervene to address this disaster and face the situation urgently.
